Sisters By Blood Poem by Kelsea Osterman

Sisters By Blood

Rating: 5.0

Sisters by blood.
Sisters by mother,
By father.
In the end we are sisters.
Best friends and protectors of each other.
Left here to defend ourselves.
Left here to live together alone.
We have a duty to our people.
To our country yes.
But most of all we have a duty to our family.
Our parents left this world when we were young,
And now our darling brothers have departed from us too.
We are alone my little sister.
I promise to protect and love you till I take my last breathe.
All I simply ask is that you stand by me.
I understand the risks and I respect thee for you're decision.
But I ask you to do me this one favor.
To honor us all when we are gone.
Let no one forget who we are.
I apologize for leaving you my dear sister.
I hope that when you join the rest of us that you have forgiven me.
For I do what I must do.
I love thee with a passion that will forever burn.
Goodbye my dear sister.
