Simple Pleasures Poem by John Taylor

Simple Pleasures

Rating: 4.8

No rush no hurry no task to complete
Country roads ribbons gently winding
Music softly playing
Thoughts that dance across my mind
Fleeting recollections jigsaw moments
Memories sweet and bitter
Yet delightful all the same
As sunshine darts between the trees
Wind gently wafts my brow
Its cool and reassuring caress
Farms with pastures lush and green
Long driveways painted fences
Horses and cattle graze
Smells carry memories of childhood
And I turn and grasp your hand
Tender smile and loving eyes
Together enjoy the simple pleasures.
