Simple Questions Of The Unloved - Poem by Jennie Scheihing

Pretty boy
Why don’t you love me?
Am I not thin enough
For you to wrap
Your arms around?
Am I not cute enough
For you to be
Attracted to?
Am I not brunette enough
To fit your type of girl?
Am I not funny enough
To make you laugh
When you need it most?
Am I simply not good enough
For you?
Pretty boy
Please tell me
Because even if you don’t love me
I will always love you.

Jennie, that's brilliant. Insightful, eloquent, slightly darkly funny but also so so poignantly sad. Epic. Thanks for posting. (Report) Reply
