Hollywood Dreams And Magazine Girls Poem by Jennie Scheihing

Hollywood Dreams And Magazine Girls

Rating: 5.0

Be strong
You will carry on
You'll be okay
Someday
Just put a smile on and face the world
Foolish girl-
God doesn't weigh

No matter what we say
You don't listen anyway
Do we really not mean anything to you?
Your life is a mirror
Seeing what isn't there
Can you really be that vain?
You know we love you
You know we hate to see you hurt
You know that you are not alone

Be strong
You will carry on
You'll be okay
Someday
Just put a smile on and face the world
Foolish girl-
God doesn't weigh

The world is a magazine
A recipe for this disease
Why don't you think for a minute?
What can I say
To make you stop today?
No one cares about how you look
You know we love you
You know we hate to see you hurt
You know that you are not alone

Be strong
You will carry on
You'll be okay
Someday
Just put a smile on and face the world
Foolish girl-
God doesn't weigh

The world may be shrinking everyday
But one thing will never change
You're beautiful
And you're thin
If that's not enough for you
I don't know what is

You know we love you
You know we hate to see you hurt
You know that you are not alone

Be strong
You will carry on
You'll be okay
Someday
Just put a smile on and face the world
Foolish girl-
God doesn't weigh
God will never weigh
