Sin

Sin is only a three letter word
But has powerful ramifications
It will bring you to your death
And perhaps a loss of Salvation
Destructive in its mission therefore
I pray you treat it not lightly
But take it with sincere recognition
In the sight of our God Almighty

For you were born with a sinful nature
Because of disobedience of Adam
And unless you are "born again"
Your eternity will be a sad one
The wages of sin is death you know
Stated by the Words of our Maker
And only through the Lord Jesus Christ
Is a precious gift of the Creator

For God in Christour Reconciliator
Has bridged the gap between
And has become our Mediator
Just Him there's nothing between
In the finished work of Jesus Christ
We have Redemption through His blood
And in that He raised Him from the dead
His sacrifice well pleasing to God

So don't let sin rob you of
An eternity with the Father
But come with a repentant heart
Don't let it take you any farther
But in a nearness to your God
Who's the Author of Salvation
Humble Thyself in His sight
Then be filled with Spiritual elation!
