Sing A Sad Song Poem by Payyton Egerstaffer

Sing A Sad Song

Sing a sad song
For I will surely come along
Night’s soft caress
Sure took my breath
Moonlight baths me with light hope
I didn’t expect to fall down this slope
I smile hoping for the rain to subside
Because the moon won’t wait for our ride
Leaves circle around me
Bringing me closer to thee
I inch closer but not to much
For you could break under my clutch
Understanding vibrates between us
Could this be more than lust?
