Sing Me A Song Poem by Richard Netherland Cook

Sing Me A Song

Sing Me A Song

Sing me a song tonight,
Sing it soft and low,
Quiet me with your soothing voice,
The voice that I love so.

Let the words from your sweet lips,
Flow like a summer rain,
A song of sweet content,
To sooth my heart and brain.

Sing with the sweetness of a womens' voice,
Tender is the sound to my ear,
Calm me with the music of the Angels,
Wash away saddness and fear.

Sing me a song tonight,
Fill me with dreams to keep,
Clasp my hand with your loving touch,
Until I'm fast asleep.
