A boy with stones, a spark so bright,
Of ancient life, in morning light.
From Cambridge halls, with curious mind,
The wonders of the world to find.
Then BBC, a voice so clear,
Brought creatures near, dispelling fear.
'Zoo Quest' called, a wild delight,
With animals in living light.
He stepped aside, to truly see,
The vastness of Earth's tapestry.
'Life on Earth, ' a grand design,
Our planet's story, so divine.
Then oceans deep, and lands of snow,
'Blue Planet, ' 'Planet Earth, ' did flow.
His gentle words, a knowing guide,
Where all of nature could reside.
Now older still, with wisdom deep,
He wakes our hearts from slumbering sleep.
Of warming world, and life's great fray,
He shows us paths, a better way.
With honor's grace, and creatures named,
His passion for the wild, untamed.
Sir David's gift, a precious thing,
The song of nature, he does sing.
