Sirens. Poem by Tom Allport

Sirens.

The peacocks call
Across the castle lawns
One persisent note
I passed the dungeons
The peacocks cries
Pursuing like sirens
Their fallen feathers
Lie free for all
I listen for
A note of hope
Something anything
Other than despair.
