Sister To Sister Dedication Poem by Heidi Wiggin

Sister To Sister Dedication

Rating: 4.5

I hear her cryin all through the night
The sound of her heart breakin
I hear her askin why for her I do not fight
And where I am when its me shes needin
Though she occasionally smiles wide
Her eyes no longer sparkle and shine
It is almost as though she died
But ask her and she says, 'Im fine'
For her I send up a silent prayer
Beggin God to give me her pain
Because it just doent seem right or fair
That some one so young could go insane
She wonders, 'Why do people try to change me?
Am I not good enough? '
I tell her, 'simply be Heidi'
And she says, 'Loosing myself makes it tough'
Shes the kind of kid you see on the news
With the head lines flashing 'SUICIDE'
I dont care what she wants she wont loose
Whether she knows it or not Im on her side
For what would I do without her kisses Goodnight
And her persistent hugs
Her smile that gives me might
And her unmerciful shoulder slugs
She needs to refuse defeat
To plow through this strife
To live on Dexter-Chelsea Road
Because we need each other in life

This is a finely written piece of love from one sister to another. I warms my heart to read this because I hear so much about sisters not getting along. I recommend it highly. GW62
