Sitting In The Dark Poem by Lauren Coles

Sitting In The Dark

Nothing can be done without light,
Your hands are tied and you want to punch the wall,
You can't block the world out,
Negativity won't get you anywhere,
People who don't believe in you aren't real friends,
The hole in the wall won't get better over night,
You go into the closet with nothing but you come out with a pad of paper,
Using violence won't get you anywhere.
