Six Fifteen In The Evening Poem by RIC BASTASA

Six Fifteen In The Evening

Rating: 5.0

got to go
got a class at 6: 30
and it is a long drive
to the university

just read your poem
about this Adonis thing
and the dog barking the wrong tree
and the calming down of
a car travelling on a narrow pathway
which might hit a pole
and there might be trouble

please, poems have nothing
to do with our realities, but just
imaginary gardens with
imaginary toads in them.

gtg.. i will explain later.
there is no volcano erupting

it is just about the universal
angst of the universal man in his
universal brief.

nothing grows nothing dies
