Six Hundred And Forty Santas Poem by Martin Ward

Six Hundred And Forty Santas

Six Hundred and Forty Santas

Children could not believe their eyes
as six hundred and forty Santas ran by.
Without the help of reindeers,
without the crunch of snow,
they raced along the city streets:
ready, steady, go, ho, ho!
When all around is doom and gloom,
and Christmas tills sing out their praise,
this festive sight proves there is room
for those whose hearts are warm and raise
much needed money for charity.
Motorists honk your horns in greeting
and children jump and shout,
to welcome this glorious, wonderful meeting
as six hundred and forty Santas run about!
