Six Music Haiku Poem by George Hunter

Six Music Haiku

I turned on the set
Sad songs playing on the air
Melancholy day.

Turned on radio
I’m So Lonely I Could Cry
Old Hank Williams tune.

Always liked old Hank
That guy could really jerk tears
Like his Lost Highway.

Hank Williams Junior
A real chip off the old block
Emulating Dad.

Ella Fitzgerald
Singing the blues and scatting
Soul music, the best.

Love those gospel songs
Like Saving Grace and, of course
The Old Rugged Cross.
