Skadi Poem by fraidoon warasta

Skadi

lady spring, no!
go back please!
it's witlessly unreasonable
lady spring, no!
you're unseasonable

i'm not ready yet
to summon
swallows, frogs,
and storks, amusing
them with plum petals
poetry party

although the sky
has shielded its
face with unwillingness
to blanket
the meadow with silver,

i want to knit
pullovers and gloves,
of fluffy snow flakes
for the naked trees,

wants to wear white
even the breeze

impatiently i'm waiting
for skadi
so, lady spring
please!
snow of blossom?
snow!
