Skidaway State Park Poem by Marilyn Lott

Skidaway State Park

We chose the perfect state park
In Savannah, Georgia it was
Tucked away amongst the trees
It was perfect for our cause.

Actually it just so happened that
Paula Deen lived across the way
A body of water separated
Her house from where we'd stay.

So fun it is to travel like this
Meeting people is such a lark
Like when we stayed that time
In Georgia at Skidaway State Park.

What an enchanting landscape brought alive in your poem and an equally exhilarating meeting with someone special, which is in the offing. Lovely poem. Thanks, Marilyn.
