Aspiring bamboo
Stretches skyward
High above mortal hedges
Each fast growing shoot
Independent
Silhouetted against the deepening blue of evening
Effervescent night ahead calling
Unfolding galaxies careening

What unites them
Is this aspiring
The fertile ground of being
The intrinsic urge to grow
The spirit we call life

What unites us
Our aspirations
Our deeply rooted interlinked enthusiasm
A lineage of passion
Skyward grounded
Side by side rising
This unfathomable love for one another

The deep blue sky
Against whom our strikingly silhouetted lives
Penetrate mortality
Strike out on our own
Side by side
That indigo sky says
Aspire
Join me
In this very moment
We are one

Today I march with you
I aspire with you
Motivated by our shared passion for our community's well being
Our future flourishing
The children safely sleeping
Playing
Growing
Skyward grounded to the earth and sky from whom we came
We step up and we step out
We climb to reach a higher calling
Skyward
Grounded
Aligned
Alive

I grow

I connect

Unstoppable us

Take a breath with me
