Sleep Pale Sister Poem by Sarah Weber

Sleep Pale Sister

Sleep pale sister
Dream the impossible
Wake no longer

Pass the time
Chew into thoughts
Never forget me

I watch you
Sleep pale sister
I loath you

Your skin pale
Your eyes shut
Wake no longer

It seems to me that the sister is dead. if not why would one expect her not to wake any more? Or do you mean that while living in this world the sister should be just like asleep, not bothering about what's happening around, and to live in dream world.... the poem is nice, but the idea why a person should expect a sister not to wake up anymore is not clear to me.
