Sleep Well Poem by Herbert Nehrlich

Sleep Well

Rating: 5.0

I hope your dreams will help you rest
your body needs it now.
Although you are the cat's meow
even the best need rest.

So, snuggle under silken sheet
and snooze 'til Dawn's first light.
I hear your heart, I feel its beat
and know that we're alright.

And when you wake, my lovely flower
a fleeting thought arrives,
which carries with it love's own power
and talks about our lives.

So please accept these morning kisses
you precious work of art.
I know someone who sorely misses
you when we are apart.
