Sleeping Beauty Poem by Claude Davis III

Sleeping Beauty

As I slowly stroke my fingers through your hair
You quietly doze off on my shoulder
I can feel your breath on my chest
I've been waiting so long to have this moment

You looked so peaceful and happy
So beautiful just sleeping there
I'd fall asleep with you if it wasn't for that
I didn't dare to close my eyes

There's only a couple things that could make me happier
If you could stay all night
If I could wake up to your face
If you could always stay at my place
