Sleeping, Dreaming Of You Poem by Nigel Stringfellow

Sleeping, Dreaming Of You

Tonight as I lay sleeping, dreaming
The light came through my window

A shaft of moonlight, beaming
Moonlight embracing me,
Dreams which were chasing me
Chasing me, pacing me, thoughts of you
Raced in me.

Thoughts of you laying so close by my side
Thoughts of you saying there is no need to hide
Thoughts of your kisses and cuddles and hugs
As we lay together, all cosy warm and snug

Thoughts of you stayed with me
As sleep softly played with me
And then I was gone, gone back to sleep
In my dream, I missed you, and started to weep
