Sleeplessness Poem by Swabhiman Sahu

Sleeplessness

Rating: 1.0

It was night

But I was  not asleep

I searched for slumber

Lying awake in my bed

Sitting in the garden lawn

Walking in the deserted roads

Wandering in the woods

Sitting beside the river

Flowing with the winds

Writing down my pains

Hiding in the night's melancholy

But as the dawn approached

A deep slumber sank me in

Like a large bulky ship.
