Sleepover Poem by OSCAR GWIRIRI

Sleepover

How dare you come for a sleepover
And ask for your own room to sleep.
All night long on your travelling clothes,
Arguing that you just came to put up here,
And labelling me an uncivilised sex monster.
But honey, did you think my house is a zoo
For viewing a tamed me all night long?
As I attempted to be romantic and luring,
You threatened me with harming charges.
I restrained myself regretting for a night
Of a good sleep wasted by pleading with you.
I really don't understand your visiting intentions;
I thought it was going to be a good night,
Just a night to remember about our good times,
But anyway, I will always remember its awfulness,
Since I spent it with a horrible beautiful woman.
I never wanted to have anything about you anymore,
But you left your handbag promising to come again.
I can't imagine a similar inconvenienced night.
I was supposed to chuck you out of my dearest life,
But I wonder why my heart still yearns for you,
Never minding the terrible things you always do.
