Slipping Away Poem by Ray Hansell

Slipping Away

Living in this life
Is such a percious thing
That when we feel it slipping away
The harder we want to cling

We don't want to lose it
But we know one day we will
When people are very sick
They seem to quickly go downhill

All the time thinking
They don't want to die
No matter what it takes
Anything, they're willing to try

But the cold hard facts still remain
They know it is probably too late
Soon before they know it
They will meet their fate
