Slipping, Falling Poem by Holly Heron

Slipping, Falling

Rating: 4.5

I feel like I'm slipping,
Like I can't break loose,
I'm bound at the wrists,
I can't strike back,
My ankles chained,
So I can't break free,
And I'm slipping,
And I'm falling,
And I'm losing part of me,
I've tried so hard to carry on,
Push against the downwards flow,
But I'm slipping,
And I'm falling,
And there's no place else to go.
