Slumber Poem by Joscephine Gomez

Slumber

The world stops spinning,
I see the light dimming,
Thoughts stop springing,
I feel rest beckoning
towards slumber.

Memories collecting,
Hopes connecting,
Joys caressing,
Errors camouflaging
in slumber.

Things seen in haste,
No time to waste,
Rest is chased,
Freedom I'll taste
in slumber.

Mind pure and chaste,
On this is a good life based,
The heavens be praised,
New hopes shall be raised
after slumber.

Zzzzz, hm, sssss.....
