Smile Poem by Cory The Alchemist

Smile

Well I don't really know
What to say about this girl
I feel like I've known her my whole life
Yet she's still a mystery to me
I can't really tell you if she
Prefers this over that
Or would rather be over there than here
But one thing i can tell you
Is that her smile is something intoxicating
I can't say if she likes seafood over chinese
But I can promise you
That if she walked down the street smiling
That those lucky enough
To be graced with that image
Would have a skip in their step
For the rest of their day
I don't care how terrible your day was
I can guarantee that her smile
Will put your mood into ecstasy
Her smile is like an addiction
If I don't see it enough I go a little bit crazy
Oh just a little bit out of my mind
I hate everything that makes her frown
I may not understand her problems well
But I hate them all the same
Now I'm not one that loves cliches
But her smile is like the sun breaking through
Those dark clouds
Of despair hovering over my head
If i had to I would write her a poem every day
Just to see her face light up
With that smile I know all to well
You may call me obsessive
But I challenge you to see her smile
And not think about it at least every once in a little while
I don't think I'm obsessive
I'm just a man with a gift
That is my own little slice of Nirvana...
Her smile.
