Smile and be kind
Sunday,5th May 2019

She simply stared
and dared
not to say a word
but made move forward

Was I stupid to ask?
and sought to start
with love gesture
she was very much sure

did I fail to read her eyes?
and tried
in vain
to look down with pain

I felt sorry
but wanted to carry
the message further
I sincerely offered her hand

Why would you want?
that my eyes won't
permit but agree
that you are master and free

Love is not to be asked gently
but avail readily
if that is the meaning behind
smile and be kind
