You're sick and looking for a cure.
I speak in a serious voice:
"I can help you."
You say tired, that everyone
have medicine for you.

"No. I'm not a doctor.
The poet can only throw
a rose on your terrace
to see the smile onyour face,
that, at least, for the moment,
you forget about the pain."

Osmijeh kao lijek

Bolesna si i tražiš lijek.
Govorim ozbiljnim glasom:
"Mogu da ti pomognem."
Kažeš izmoreno da svi
imaju medicinu za tebe.

"Ne. Ja nisam doktor.
Pjesnik može da ti samo
na terasu baciti ružu
da vidi osmijeh licu,
da bar za trenutak
zaboraviš na bol."
