Smiled. Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Smiled.

Many times,
I have felt lust.
I have been shaken by those I thought I could trust.
But could not.
It's almost as if they all pointed me to you.
In two years,
I have done much more then I'd ever planned.
Nights alone, are almost more appealing,
then the nights with company.
Sometimes I will tear up,
over the mistakes I've made.
Cry for the ones I've hurt,
and the ones who have hurt me.
I still think about you,
from time to time.
I'll look back and smile,
I couldn't regret a thing.
As at one point, it was exactly what I wanted.
