Smiling Kings And Queens Poem by Mike Snow

Smiling Kings And Queens

I saw you through my open window,
as you ran off into your dreams.
Leaving the golden palace,
with it`s smiling Kings and Queens.
You were just starting on the darkened road,
and I was sitting in the sun.
You were at your journeys begining,
whilst I was nearly done.
They`d been teaching you their beliefs
as truths, not a heavy load.
But you devined their reason,
and went down the darkened road.
I could come with you yes,
and travel down that misty way.
Maybe share lifes bitter wine,
enjoy it`s summer days.
But I watch you through my open window,
as you head off into your dreams.
Leaving the golden palace,
with it`s smiling Kings and Queens.
