Hearts, flowers, joy,
and does it make you blind?

What fragile bauble
is my heart.
So freely given and,
so quickly, broken apart.

and darkness comes.
Fearful feelings suffocate,
no light is seen.

like the storm raging outside the window.
Will I end like the tree,

Next to the wonder of your being.

warm and soft, how you women are.
Unfortunately, it is often true for you,

Oh silly are we lovers,
with foolish pride to heed.
That we would lose what precious is,
on some trivial deed.

She is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Something hoped for to reach and bathe in,
but forever just out of reach for us normal mortals.
Now I am near the light and see

From any in this life.
Not from friend, lover,
Enemy or wife.
