Smug Poem by Israh Sadan

Smug

So smug
You breath that sigh of relief
And in the same breath the air of arrogance
You did it again
Got away with it.
But the ice you skate on is only getting thinner,
As thin as my patience with you is wearing
Your luck will run out
About the same time my as my perseverance
And where will we find ourselves then?
Well, my conscience is clear
After your last chance has been squandered
All you will have left, I guarantee you, will be regrets.
