Snow Castles Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Snow Castles

Rating: 5.0

Yesterday while I was shoveling snow
A playful thought crossed my mind
As my nose was nipped by the cold
The heavy snow was superbly inclined

Excellent for packing it voluntarily
Rolled into rounded white clumps
Thoughts became childish automatically
Wanting to make a castle out of the lumps

Now how would that look at my age?
A retired granny playing and enjoying
Subdued by potential stares I did not engage
With each strategic toss, I continued toying

Oh My Goodness......Deja Vu....was thinking the same thing yesterday when outside...how the snow was so perfect for packing and just wanting to do a sculpture of some kind....missing the days doing it with the kids...One year we made this awesome dragon across the front yard scales and all....even made up food coloring water in spray bottles and gave it some color.....thanks for the memory: O)
