Snowy Gale Poem by Jessica L Taylor

Snowy Gale

Today I thought I saw
a snowy gale in summer
But it turned out to be the blossom.
From the tree in my garden.

Its branches swayed and blossom fell,
and covered the whole lawn
and the green grass turned snowy white
like Christmas day all over.

The field opposite my house,
has many fallen trees,
the leaves blow in the whistling wind
and run right down the road.

Its long grass bends and shakes,
with the breeze that passes by,
and every weed and flower breaks,
with the strength of the wind in the night

I thought I saw a snowy gale.
but my judgements known to fail.
and in this summer haze I know.
that grass will rise and grass will grow.
