Reaching for you,
ls like reaching for the stars.
How l'd like to run to,
So close, yet so far.

Reaching for your hand,
ln times of trouble.
How l tried to stand,
ln the midst of the rubble.

Reaching for a listening ear,
ln the hour of sadness.
How l wish you could hear,
The sound of my loneliness.

So close, yet so far,
That's just the way things are.
No more falling stars to wish for.
All that's left, is a closed door.
