So Little About Nature Poem by Francis Duggan

So Little About Nature

Rating: 5.0

So little about Nature I can claim to know
A tiny dark seed to a giant tree can grow
And though great minds are learning from her every day
Her secrets from them she keeps hidden away
The wonders of Nature inspire in us awe
And Nature she only lives by her own law
Compared to her's human achievements seem small
We depend on her to exist after all
We plunder her resources and from her take and take
But if for future generations of people and not for our own selfish sake
We treated her better how much better 'twould be
For the future in the World of humanity
She can live without us and her we do need
And future generations may have to pay for our greed.
