Little bird, you've lost your wings
Hiding underneath the trees
Terrified of your dreams
A broken world you cling to now
Holding close to the ground
You fell too far when you fell in love
Now it hurts too much to get back up
There's nothing for you way down here
Birds were meant for the open air
Sky into the sky-blue world
Reach into your pale blue heart
You are still a Little Bird
Lost your feathers, lost your flight
Lost your will to fight
Bleeding, dying, fading out
When there's so much to care about
A thousand words are hidden deep
A thousand hurts have cut you deep
A thousand days have brought you down
Until you turned to the ground
There's nothing for you way down there
Lift your prayers into the air
Close your eyes, shut out your fears
Listen close, can't you hear?
There's a whole beautiful world out there
So much for a Little Bird
