So Sayeth The Sage Poem by Jay Bradley

So Sayeth The Sage

So sayeth the sage that lo nature is not without order,
But it knows the realm, between sky and earth no border,
So exists the Kingdom of Heaven only in those who define,
What is written in the scripture, that is heart and divine;

Alas, in troubled and sound mind there need be such presents,
Of the grace of the believer who feels His mighty presence,
Yet from what I see and feel some just aren't so graced,
So seek they the splendor in this world they've been placed;

But in honest words, what science maintains ought not divide,
Since it measures inherent only, it can choose no side,
Perhaps there lay in bloody DNA a truth,
But nature, so thick and deep, doth be aloof;

Say the archer, the path to the target requires the arrow,
So many attempts to propel until the shaft became narrow,
Yet even still, the first arrow to haunt the sky was a spear,
What in need became advancement, to push it through air;

Yet human beings, whether or not they believe, have eyes,
Be they used to scan the dreary earth, or bold and starry skies,
And we see ourselves as we advance, our towers like Babel propel,
In nature be it self-taught progress, to survive it must excel;

Say the fish who swam alone, that was tried until found they a school,
In deep blue water so thrive the giants or even the most shallow pool,
So through our science, as I recall, human beings conquer foe, oh so small,
Now all we have is time until the close, to discuss the end, how sinners fall;

Only through ignorance can one fear when over fires rests the beaker,
Though some may hide, always will one find in white coats, they the lonely seeker,
Yet if you wish to follow your belief that only He on high can create,
I respect your opinions and your wishes, but I stand still to debate.
