Soaring Up Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Soaring Up

Heaviness of wings frustrates fluttering
And operates against heavenward leanings
Sometimes our desires fling us into bonds
Burdensome appalling, thrusting upon us heaviness
Who could manage to get through these bonds gruesome
Without getting stuck inside, utterly unharmed?
Light- sodden promptings take away heaviness
And offers the skies to the truly adventurous
Who readily salutes light and implicit bounteousness
Then the incredible happens: birds find themselves
Soaring up reaches they believe infinite
