Please don't look for perfection
In the context of bestowal of affection
Mother bestows her benediction
Upon her little darlings even unto self-extinction
Despite their follies: the eager readiness to forgive
Constitutes the essence of love: the mystery of all creation
The overwhelming passion begets and sustains
All life, mortality slips into immortality benign
To look for perfection in the loved one
Is a sin, perhaps unpardonable and definitely unholy, inhuman
Heaven is where love reigns supreme, serene
Where all sprouts blossom forth, all melodies melt into One.
