Solar Eclipse Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Solar Eclipse

Strange the moon is jealous
Of the sun’s romance with the earth
Proximity could be the trigger
The jealousy grew stronger
Moon got tired of mere looking
Action was needed
It got in between the two
Blocking illumination of the earth
An opaque body
Solar eclipse occurred
Lights from the sun scattered off
Creating a spectacular luminary beauty
Nature is never capricious
It does not last long
Gravity pushes the moon back in line
Jealous moon
