Some People Pray Poem by Juan Olivarez

Some People Pray

Some people pray in their temples,
Devotion all over their faces.
All of them perfect examples,
Fortified with the spirit that braces.
In the temple and all other places.

But some have no faith in their souls,
They never had it, or it did depart.
Even in summer their spirits are cold,
There's not a prayer in their hearts,
Intelligent people, but not very smart.
