Some Songs Poem by Gary James Smith

Some Songs

Some Songs

Some songs I have to tear up to
They resonate to my soul
Like the day of my Salvation
When Lord Jesus made me whole
The one named "Constantly Abiding"
Brought a memory's sweet refrain
The preciousness of knowing my Saviour
Praise be to His Holy name

The Spirit brought it home to me
That day I first believed
When I repented of my sin
And fell down on my knees
And asked Lord Jesus in my heart
In the morning by my bed
When joy and peace came In like a flood
Christ becoming my living Head

God may be searching for you today
Are you living with a void
Knowing something's missing in your life
An absence of peace and joy
Try a prayer of petition
"Dear God if you really exist
I want to know Christ as my Saviour
Lead me in the path of righteousness"

Then find yourself a quiet spot
Bring a bible and take a look
Let His Word speak to your heart
It will be the wisest step that you've ever took!
Make a decision to decide
Yes! ...Today will be that blest day
I will trust in You Lord as my Saviour
And let Your songs become my stay!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
