Some Things I Hate Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Some Things I Hate

tears that i put in your eyes.
hearing you tell me goodbye.
watching you as you walk away.
being without you any day.

knowing you are feeling pain,
unable to help, though i try in vain.
wishing you were here with me,
knowing that it just can't be.

seeing you pass through my door,
but wanting you to stay much more.
knowing when you're out of  sight,
it's going to be a lonely night.

feeling as if i don't see you soon,
i'll blow my brains out in my room.
knowing that will never be,
because you are my destiny.

knowing that the days are long,
until we write our lovers' song.
wishing it would be more soon,
when you invite me into your room.

being denied that tender act,
ultimate love, i want it back.
some things i hate, and many more,
will disappear when I enter your door!
