Some Type Of Calling Poem by victoria martinez

Some Type Of Calling

Refrain from the feeling of want
Eliminate all thoughts of succeeding
Educate your self in the art of failure
Lose all those feelings that bring pleasure
.
Revolve your world around your wants
Write down a list of dreams that will never exist
Tell people you are someone you’re not
And don’t listen to those voices that come from with in
.
You exist for no purpose to fulfill your purpose
I found that the grotesque images planted in head
They sometimes keep from sleeping at night
Take a flight and see the entire world so small
.
My world fading into the thick pollution
And hazy fingers point to me they all blame
Shallow views of the world have shoved my thoughts into a draw
Don’t open it
It will make you insane
.
And the loving I can feel it… it’s fading
And the heart I can feel it… it’s breaking
And the past I can see it … it’s creeping
And the future I can see it… it’s distorted
.
I touch the scars to feel the rough skin that has grown over the wound
I touch the cut to feel the lose flesh waiting to heal
And I touch the thoughts and it like dipping my hands into an ocean;
It’s rough but calm…
.
Touch the light… trust me it’s finished
