Some Victories Are Like Defeats Poem by Hebert Logerie

Some Victories Are Like Defeats

Occasionally, election losses are not bad,
At least, you have your hard-earned peace.
Controversial victories can make you sad,
Depressed, disgusted, dejected, and uneasy;
Especially, when thousands of protesters
Are sitting and spitting in front of your house.
You will regret that you were the winners.
You become nervous, on edge like a mouse,
Who's surrounded by numerous skilled cats.

From time to time, experiencing setbacks
Can be advantageous for long-term health.
Winning the lottery, having tremendous wealth,
Overnight, can kill you. It is great to feel greenbacks
Dancing in your pockets. Money brings a lot troubles:
Strangers and acquaintances are relentlessly calling:
They want a piece of the action, they want something,
And are never pleased or satisfied. Money is like bubbles.
Money evanesces. It can make you feel like fat cats.

That was a pyrrhic victory for the Republican nominee. Some voters have been protesting, and this is only the beginning.
