I knew your laughter once,
the way it filled a room like sunlight
slipping through forgotten curtains.
Your voice was a melody
I never thought would fade.
Now, silence stands between us,
thick as fog, heavy as memory.
I still see you in the spaces
where you no longer belong-
a half-finished cup of coffee,
a song left playing too long.
Love does not vanish,
it lingers in the dust of old letters,
in the warmth of a name
spoken only in thought.
You are somebody I used to know,
but never truly forgot.
