Three Branches....Of Government
......We look on in bewilderment
"Checks and Balances" as the message recalls
....Yet....despite all the evidence
Why Congress...its reticence.....
Somebody's...in somebody's pockets...that's all

....While under investigation
Curious...the revelation....
Meeting privately with the enemy and then
....Deliberately withholding
Whatever it is...that's unfolding....
Are we not...destroying ourselves...from within

....There's a statute called "Treason"
On the books for a reason....
Radical foresight...bringing hell to pay
In the future will come a time
.....America....undermined
Founding Fathers had envisioned...this day

....Still....despite all the evidence
Congress....complicit...in reticence....
Somebody's in somebody's pockets...that's all
...Three Branches Of Government
We look on in bewilderment....
