Something Cruel (Explicit) Poem by Rachel Henley

Something Cruel (Explicit)

and then it was over.

infinities lost within a foretold abyss,
stories I will never get to tell-
our never existing children
time is cruel in the after math,
we lose sight and touch,
with all we held dear.
and what's worse,
is how we live our lives after.
we search, we attempt to replace,
we criticise our new lovers,
(secretly) , for not being the old.
but out of our own fear for being alone,
we never give them the decency of the truth-
oh god, god, what have I done?
love, it makes heartless b*stards of us all.
